Stylish FRENCH Set- Old Glass- STUNNING

This impressive and very decorative pair of Art Deco style mirrors was discovered in Southern France. The wide wooden frames are covered in snakeskin creating a stunning effect. Thick panes of 19th C. mirror glass have been newly added to heighten the pair’s decorative appeal. The wonderful, snake covered frames are vintage, but likely from the mid to late 20th C. The addition of the antique glass with the foxed reflection creates a look of greater age.

The mirrors are in very good condition. The snakeskin has a handsome coloration with typical signs of age and gentle wear. There are small losses of some scales and evidence of light bruising to the edges and corners, but overall they remaining wonderful condition. The mirrored glass is very thick and as mentioned it is older than the frames making each mirror surprisingly heavy and substantial. The mirrors have expected foxing spots and marks, typical discoloration signaling true age. New wire mounts for hanging, and wooden corner blocks to secure the glass have been added so the set is ready to hang and enjoy.

Each mirror measures approximately: 30" x 26". The snakeskin frames are approximately 4"wide.
