Description: For sale is a vintage McCoy Pottery stoneware cookie jar. c:1939. Matte white finish with cold paint. It is shown in Vol. 11 of the McCoy series books, p. 221, row 2 and on pg. 110 of the 1993 book by E. Westfall. These particular cookie jars only came in black and ivory, and I had both colors, but the black one already sold. This one is in good vintage display condition; just missing a bit of the original cold paint, and that is it for visible flaws. As for unnoticeable flaws, the underside of the lid has a chip, but when lid is in place, it is not visible, so it doesn't matter. It also has one glaze pop on interior lip of jar, but this doesn't show either with lid is on. Guaranteed to be authentic vintge McCoy pottery!
