Beautiful Vintage Mahogany Curved Credenza, Small Buffet or Sideboard
ITEM DESCRIPTION
This is a beautiful piece of furniture. It is a small credenza, which you could also call a buffet or sideboard. It’s smaller than the typically huge sideboard pieces (dimensions below) but it has lots of storage and is the perfect piece for the smaller dining room or space challenged apartment. It has 2 storage drawers and a hutch door which has open grill work. On the interior of the hutch is an adjustable shelf (in the photo this shelf is resting on the bottom but you can see the holders for the shelf).
It has a curved design and on either side are two sets of curving shelves, with three shelves each. This piece is elegant and attractive and provides tons of great storage both inside the hutch and drawers and outside, on its six shelves – these shelves also enable you to display your prettier or most often used serving pieces. Age (ca.) c1940s-1960 Dimensions It measures 40” Wide X 14” deep X 34” High. Condition Good estate condition. No significant damage. A few minor signs of age and use – a few minor dimples and surface scratches but nothing significant. Shelves are all sturdy and stable. Drawers open and close easily and are well made. Clean on the interior. Provenance This item comes from a prestigious estate auction in Long Island ’s Hamptons.
