Description:
This lovely pin dish or nut bowl was made by and marked on the bottom: Porcelain/Limoges/Castel/France in red then Limoges/France in green. With an 18th Century Romantic Couple sitting in a flower filled glen in the middle of the dish, with gold trim around the entire shell, the man is giving his lady fair a flower and it is signed Fragonard under their feet who was a French Artist (Fragonard, Jean-Honoré (1732-1806). French painter whose scenes of frivolity and gallantry are among the most complete embodiments of the Rococo spirit). In very good condition it measures 1 1/8 inches high, 3 1/2 inches by 3 3/4 inches wide. An addition to any vanity and Limoges Porcelain Collection. SH & Ins. will be quoted after orders placed.
