Description: This vase has a raised all over pattern, it has a bird sitting on a branch with a flower hanging down beside it, the back has branch with a leaf hanging down. The bird and flowers are all hand painted, the bird has very fine gold detail over the other colors. This is a beautiful piece that I have had over thirty years, it was old when I got it, I don't know the age on it for sure but would guess it to be at least 1920's to 1930's. It measures 8 1/2" tall, the top opening measures about 3" across, the widest part of the middle measures a total of about 14" around, if you put your hand inside the vase you feel the impressions of fingers where the mouth was hand molded, the bottom is incised with Made In Japan. It is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. It would be a wonderful addition to your collection!
