Description:
Fabulous Navajo Indian carved abalone shell in the form of a large heart, suspended with numerous semi precious beads and stones, turqoise, jasper, citrine, agate, mother of pearl, and some others I don't recognize. the necklace is 14.5 inches long, including the 3.5 inch shell heart, the heart is 4 inches wide, most of the stones are about .5 inches wide, the stones form a double chain from one side of the heart to the other. I counted approximately 125 beads, stones on each strand so that makes about, give or take a few beads, on the two strands of the necklace. I have never seen another one like this, there may be others but not that I have found. The abalone shell is a particularly beautifull one, and there are earrings to match. No signature on this. In excellent condition, no damage do I see. thanks for shopping in the land of the Navajo Nation!
