Description:
Our Vintage Imperial Airways Advertising Poster features diagrams of 4 different planes. The poster measures 29 1/4 inches high and 19 1/2 inches wide. It was attached years ago to a cardboard backing and has edge wear and tear as you can see from our photos. Also, the poster was folded at one time before it was attached to the cardboard, because there are light fold lines. The poster has common yellowing from age and gas fumes? cigarette smoke? and could use a cleaning. The featured planes are: Heracles and Hannibal, Scylla, Atlanta and Scipio Flying Boats. As you can see there are cutaway diagrams of each one with all the parts of the planes labeled. There is also a summary for each plane with it's info printed next to it. As you can probably tell, this poster is not a reproduction and we have guaranteed it to be authentic. Judging by the dress of the people depicted on the planes, I am dating this poster to the 1930's.
