Description: This vintage souvenir horse brass measures 3.5 inches high by 2.5 inches wide and depicts a horse head in a horse shoe made 1930-1940s and in very good condition. Horse brasses were developed in the 17th century to decorate and identify draft horses. This brass has some casting impurities, but is a neat decorative piece. They are a popular collectible today. In England you see them decorating the beams in pubs and hanging by the fireplace in homes.
