Description:
Vintage Basketville wood slat basket purse handpainted with strawberries. It stands 6-1/4" high, and measures 7-3/4" across the bottom and 7-1/4" across the top. The top and bottom bands of the basket are covered in red velvet and bric-a-brac, and the inside of the bent wood handle has red velvet. The hinged lid has strawberries painted on the top, and the inside has a 3-1/2" round mirror with two circles of red bric-a-bracn around it. The interior of the basket is lined in a red and white striped material, with a band of red velvet and bric-a-brac around the top. The underside of the basket is stamped BASKETVILLE and PUTNEY VERMONT in black ink. Normal wear for a basket purse of this age, and in very good vintage condition.
