Description:
Cie gle. Transatlantique P.L.M. ARTIST: anonymous The colors and mood of this poster fabulously evoke the sensuality of the Middle East – in the early 1900s many shipping lines began to traverse between France and countries like Morocco, Egypt and Algeria. In this well-preserved gem, we see veiled women, a shoreline, date palms and all manner of Mediterranean fauna. What we particularly like is the detailed border running down the left side and bottom of this poster – very much like the tiles and colors one could find – and would still find – in the Middle East. Overall poster is in very good condition with some creasing. It is linen-backed and measures 28 x 41 inches. AUF114/$1500 All of our posters, prints, pochoirs and ephemera are vintage, original, non-reproduction works. Please e-mail with any questions or requests for additional photos and check back often - we add new items almost every day! Thank you for your interest.
