Stunning Vintage Art Deco Original Frank MacIntosh cover design for Asia Magazine. Artist MacIntosh was a master of color and divine Deco elegance and all his works contain a vibrancy and spirit that add charm and dimension to his imagery. During the twenties and thirties he frequently contriubuted his work as cover art for the magnificent Asia Magazine- a high-gloss travel periodical of the time. This is one of his earlier works done in 1925 and has a kind of mystical imagination that seems imbued with the ideal of the mysterious and romantic east. Beautiful use of color and texture, wonderful juxtaposition of warm and cool tones- it is evident that he understood the grace and spectacle of Asian art and the mood of the Dazzling Deco decade. Cover art only measures 10 x 13 and was taken form a disbound edition of the magazine- there is some slight chipping and evidence of it's originations in a bound volume overall bright and sharp wonderful as decorative accent piece or gift for the soon-to-be-here holidays. The marvelous creative cover art of Frank MacIntosh is becoming increasingly difficult to find- this one is a gem!

Now for the fine print! Shipping to be determined following the end of auction- insurance is included in the price of the first item- and afterwards mandatory for both buyer and seller protection. All items are shipped in padded envelopes , encased in mylar/plastic sleeves with cardboard backing for added protection. I prefer Paypal on-line payments and will also accept money orders and cashier's checks. I do ship internationally- through paypal on-line payments and money orders, cashier's checks drawn on American banks. Shipping costs vary contingent upon buyer location. I offer USPS and also Ups depending upon buyers choice. Most items that measure under 12 x16 can fit easily into a priority flat rate box for around $10.00 contingent upon weight.
