Description: For sale is a vintage lace tablecloth.(likely antique or very close to it). Looks like very fine, tight filet or bobbin lace. Absolutely gorgeous! Rectangular/oblong in shape, (84 x 80 inches), no holes or tears. A couple of tiny soil spots I noticed when measuring it, but nothing distracting; it just needs to be washed, (the spots do not appear to be permanent stains, just dirt). I do not want to launder it; it could probably be hand washed, or dry cleaned, but I am not going to touch it. The thread looks and feels like a strong linen thread. A textile expert consulted said this is hand done Italian 'filet' lace. It is quite beautiful, and does appear to be hand done, (you can see the tiny knots on the backside).
