Luce & Company, [1917]] First Edition Octavo, pp. [1-6] 7 [8-12] 13-207 [208: blank], original light red-brown boards with black cloth shelf back, front and spine panels stamped in gold, fore and bottom edges untrimmed. First U.S. edition, first printing (printed on laid paper watermarked "D [enclosed within a single rule diamond] QUEEN LAID"). Collects four plays; "The Tents of the Arabs," "The Laughter of the Gods," "The Queen's Enemies" and "A Night at an Inn." Bleiler (1978), p. 66. Anderson I.12.b. A Remarkable well-preserved example of a very scarce edition. This is a remarkable copy - I have close-ups of the spine head and heel for you to look at. The only issue is that the page top edges are dusty - rest rough cut - deckled edges. Several internal pages are uncut - thus book is likley unread.
