Description: This is a vintage English yellow painted wood English darning mushroom or sock darner from Gloucester, England. It is made of painted turned wood and measures 4.5 inches long by 2.5 inches in diameter. It was obviously used as there are quite a few scratches on the head where the needle grazed during darning, but generally in very good condition. An unusual color and very pretty. This darner or darning mushroom was made in England in the 1920s. Shipping in the US by USPS priority.
