Description:
This stunning bureau was originally crafted in England around 1960. It was recently purchased at as estate sale and directly imported to our store here in Atlanta, Georgia. It rich, dark walnut veneer gives this piece a very impressive and almost majestic look, particularly with its large, cascading and bulbus sides and skirted bottom. The grain of the wood is equally impressive, as you can see from the pictures, with impressive contrast and color variation. The top section opens with a working lock and key to reveal a green felt writing surface as well as several drawers, a cabinet, and a compartment underneath with sliding door access. The main drawers on this piece have stunningly detailed solid brass pulls, as well as brass escutcheons, although there are no locks in the drawers. Overall, the condition of this bureau is good. It looks great and should make a lovely addition to any home!
