Description: This elegant 5 piece early vintage epergne most likely has a fine Venetian pedigree. Several of the great early glass houses such as Antonio Barovier Toso and Fratelli Toso worked in trapped bubble designs such as this. There is a possibility that it could also be Bohemian, but we tend to shy from that especially with respect to the liberal use of the opalescence. This epergne has a wide scalloped edge bowl with matching center trumpet and three horns. The shallow brass receptacle and the original zinc / tin cups establish a date ca. 1915 - 1930. This is truly a unique and inspiring showpiece. The Elegant Epergne / The Bunny & Charles Koppelman Collection -- part of a collection of art glass to be sold live on eBayLiveAuctions on Oct 5th at 1pm, Andy & Rob Collection.
