Description: For sale is a vintage Dritz sewing basket and sewing notions. Vintage green sewing basket with lots of goodies inside! The top has blue & green flowers on it and so does the interior. I bought this from a woman who said she was born in 1930, and this was her sewing basket as a child! It does look pretty old, I was thinking the 50's but she insisted the 1930-40's. She lives in Auburn Hills, MI and she was downsizing her estate to move to FL. I put a lot of extras in this basket too! The bottom of this basket reads: Dritz, Style No. 7063, Japan. The overall appearance of the basket is very good; the plastic insert that fits into this basket is a little beat up though, and is taped together, but still holds items as you can see. Included in this basket is a very old pin cushion and thread holder, (this was taken out of an antique wood sewing chest I own); a metal thimble; an unopened Dritz cover button kit, c.1985; unopened USA Boltex bias tape; unopened polyester elastic band; Le Chic Japan buttons; unopened USA Wrights Trimtex; Dyno marker; Singer Basting tape unopened; Bugle Beads unopened, large spools of thread, vintage textile bobbin, and more!
