Simply Spectacular Original Vintage Art Deco Ad for Crane's Plumbing/Bathroom Fixtures. Taken from a 1930 issue of House Beautiful Magazine this ad was designed to celebrate the seventy-fifty anniversary of the company and does so with elegance and panache. Featured is a glorious glamorous men's bathroom with onyx shaded tub and sink, gray marble walls, enclosed toilet concealed by an exquisitely carved steel door and vaulted ceiling with delicate aquatic/astrological themed etchings.
Take particular note of the fabulous colors in this ad deep marine blue, orange black and steel gray- this is a bathroom worthy of Cecil B. De Mille and Cedric Gibbons combined. Condition of the ad is excellent bright and clean- the image is simply fantastic in person. Measures 10 x 13- will be wonderful as a decorative accent piece, addition to any deco collection or unique gift! Americans went color mad in the latter twenties- with trend setting styles of sleek elegant sophistication- this is a prime example of what was then known as the "moderne" look.
