Description:
For sale is a vintage Czechoslovakian porcelain creamer and sugar. (incised numbers). Here are two very fine pieces of porcelain, which I finally identified as being Czechoslovakian. They are numbered, but not marked Czech, but I did come across an identical creamer at a recent estate sale that was marked with a Czechslovakian mark on the bottom. This creamer & sugar feature what appears to be hand-painted roses in pink and yellow with green leaves. The background color is a pale yellow, with a pale caramel near the top. The backside features an orange leafy spray. The creamer is about 4.75 wide x 3.75 high; the sugar is 4.5 inches high by about 4 inches wide. The creamer is in good condition and has an incised mark: number #7, as well as a faint #9 or #6, (depending on how you look at it), in red grease pen. The sugar has an incised number #71, and an #9 or #6 also in red grease pen. The creamer has one faint interior hairline near the top rim, near the handle, that is about 1/8 inch which you probably would not have noticed without my disclosing it to you. There is also a vertical craze line, (1/8 inch), on the outside, but I do not feel anything with my fingertip so I do not believe it is a hairline, and you have to be looking very closely with reading glasses to even spot it. The creamer also has what appears to be a tiny cigarette burn on the bottom interior which is not visible unless you're looking inside it. Scroll through the pics to see.
