Description:
This is a wonderful hand painted cottageware or cottage ware cheese dish or butter dish made by Price Brothers, Price Kensington, Staffordshire England 1934-1963. The shape is a thatched cottage with flowers around the door.
The cheese or butter dish measures 5 inches high by 6.25 inches wide by 5.5 inches deep and is in very good ++ condition with no cracks and only 1 small old chip on the rim of the base. It is discolored from the oil and smells of butter or cheese. Rather homey! I recently brought it home from England because I fell in love with it. It would make a great decorative as well as useful accent in any kitchen. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured.
