Description: Vintage Corning Ware Pyroceram Spice of Life 4 Quart Dutch Oven Casserole, Go Green. Go Green with Corning Ware, you can bake, serve and store leftovers all in one dish, then reheat leftovers in the same dish! Pyroceram was invented in the late 1950's and is made to withstand both heat and cold. Several years ago Corning Ware was purchased by a Chinese company, although they have offices in the USA this line is now made in China and is not made of pyroceram like the earlier pieces, newer pieces are marked Made in China and are made of a ceramic material. This pattern was made from 1972 to 1987 and is harvest colored vegetable pattern on a white background, it is made of the original Corning pyroceram. This dutch oven casserole is one of the hardest to find sizes in this pattern, it holds 4 quarts, it is 10" by 10" (without the handles) and about 3 1/2" deep, retails on the replacement site for $70. It is in excellent gently used clean, ready to use condition, no chips and would be a fabulous addition to your set or a great start to a new set!
