Description: Vintage Corning Ware Pyroceram Wildflower 1 1/2 Liter Casserole with Metal Serving Rack, Go Green. Go Green with Corning Ware, you can bake, serve and store leftovers all in one dish, then reheat leftovers in the same dish! Pyroceram was invented in the late 1950's and is made to withstand both heat and cold. Several years ago Corning Ware was purchased by a Chinese company, although they have offices in the USA this line is now made in China and is not made of pyroceram like the earlier pieces, newer pieces are marked Made in China and are made of a ceramic material. This pattern was made from 1977 to 1984 and is a floral pattern on a white background, it is made of the original Corning pyroceram. This casserole holds 1 1/2 liters, it is 7 1/2" by 4 1/2" (without the handles) and about 2 3/4" deep, it comes the metal server tray so the casserole can be used at the table when hot. It is in excellent gently used clean and ready to use condition, no chips. It would be a fabulous addition to your set or a great start to a new set!
