Description:
This is a treasure! A classic 4-waffle Sunbeam electric waffle iron in shiny chrome, apparently never used or certainly well cared-for. It has the old rope style plug in excellent condition. Stands on 4 solid little black, hard plastic feet that match the modern side and lid handles. The lid has a spring action at the back and opens to a perpendicular position. The waffle grids are made of heavy aluminum, and each section makes a 4.5 inch square waffle. There is a heat control guage in the form of a twist knob on the front. On the bottom it reads: A.C. only, 110-120 volts, 1250 watts, Model CG. The measurements are for the metal part ( they don't include the handles ) . The chrome has only the faintest surface scritches--it looks shiny and wonderful. The only mar I note is a small dip/ ding on the lid. I thought seriously about keeping this item because I like to make a batch of waffles to freeze and them pop into the toaster for a quick, delicious and Home Made breakfast on mornings I don't have time to cook.
