Description: The first railroad across Canada from the Maritimes to the West Coast was the Canadian Pacific. Canadian Pacific also was involved in running hotels and also ships. We offer a unique piece of this history: a vintage sugar castor made by the Elkington Plate Company of the United Kingdom used on the Canadian Pacific Railway or in one of its series of magnificent hotels. Engraved with a shield surmounted by the Canadian beaver and engraved within the shield Canadian Pacific and in smaller letters "Spans the World". Heavy plate with no signs of bleeding-a few very very minor dings.
