Description: Old early 20th century genuine shell cameo brooch. The mount was rolled gold, but is worn showing the base metal round the edges - base metal appears to be copper. Pin is a bit bowed (can be straightened) and the edges rise and fall with the shape of the shell. Condition of mount is solid but worn. Brooch measures 3.3 cm by 2.6 cm (1.5/16 inch by 1.1/16 inch). It has a suspension ring at the top - could be used for a pendant, or for a safety chain.
