Description: This is a very pretty antique pedestal cake plate or cake plateau that I brought back recently from England. The plate is 10 inches in diameter 17.75 across with handles and is made of silverplated metal with a machine hammered design and insets of repousse leaves that is very attractive. The cake plateau was made 1930-1940s and is unmarked and in very good condition with only minor plate loss. There are a few utensil marks when someone was a bit heavy handed cutting the Dundee cake for tea.
