Description: For sale is a vintage brown bear planter. Cute little bear is seated by his honey pot. Most of his cold paint intact around the face, and he is very sweet, no pun intended. He is not marked and I have not yet identified the maker. However, I do think he is an American made piece simply because of the weight and detail. He is 4 tall x 3.5 across at the bottom. He has a dry rim and red clay. He is very nicely detailed and in good condition, and has no chips or cracks, just very faint all-over crazing. You could use this bear with your vintage sewing accessories, e.g., to hold a large spool of thread, or make it into a pin cushion, (check out some vintage sewing books, they always show little bears similar to this holding spools or as pincushions!).
