Description:
For sale is a vintage buttermilk batter pitcher. It stands 5 high x about 6 wide from spout end to handle end. It has a very thick, worn, smooth bottom rim as you can see in the picture, indicating this is a fairly old item. It has two tiny flaws; one is a piece of clay waste near exterior rim, you can see it in one of the pictures, (it is a factory flubber, common on this type of old pottery), and it has what is either a flake of clay missing on spout tip, or is just a glaze miss, (it is smooth to the touch, but is missing glaze). Neither of these are even noticeable from 6 inches away, and this is vintage pottery so you can't expect perfection! I also have a mixing bowl with similar colors; see pics. My guess on the maker: UHL, Watt or RRP Roseville.
