Description: Vintage Art Nouveau Quaint and Delightful German Embossed Joyous New Year Postcard for 1906. Fantasy image offering a cornucopia of good luck symbols- including a large sized gilt- trimmed shamrock, gilt horseshoe, gilt four-leaf clovers and a cherub with large owl of punch, gilt wings and a lifted glass of gilt champagne. Adorable card sent about 1906. Beautiful example of the abundant charms of the Art Nouveau design period- with a wonderfully imaginative and unusual design. Condition is good fairly bright overall, some of the penned inscription is visible on the front of the card. Would make a wonderful gift.
