Description: This lovely powder jar has a base of clear early American pressed glass (EAPG) in an art deco style and sits up slightly on four glass "legs." The lid is made of some type of metal which is similar to what is made on jar lids now. It has a veneered layer of light metal, probably brass, which has embossed scrolls and flowers. There are a few small dings around the edge at the top, and a small one in the very center of the lid. These do not detract from the beauty of this piece at all.
