Description:
This vintage ceramic aquarium ornament is a wonderful example of the older piece Japan is famous for. Starting at the bottom right, the little mill house with a pink glazed roof & water wheel are next to the flowing stream. The open cavern and swim through for small fishes is just on the left side. Above the mill a pretty blue bridge and steps leading up to a hill with a large house and green bushes and trees. The small rock with the blue top has an air hole to let out trapped air to keep the ornament settled in the gravel bed of the aquarium. I love all these little details. The bottom shows the diamond SOS logo of the maker and the black Made In Japan stamp. This piece is in great shape and doesn't look like it has ever been used. Some irregular bits of clay left inside openings during manufacturing. Any collector would love this detailed piece. Look at my inventory for other aquarium ornaments/furniture. This item will be shipped from Texas. It can be combined with other items shipped from Texas to save on postage.
