Description: Pair of vintage / antique chalkware elephant bookends, in antique bronze finish. Each bookend has an elephant standing atop a book and supporting another book with its trunk. Each measures about 8 7/8 inches high, 7 1/4 inches wide, and 5 1/4 inches deep, and weighs 5 - 5 1/4 pounds. The bookends are quite detailed and each has 4 round felt pads on the bottom. Condition is very good, especially for their age. They appear to come from the forties or earlier. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Some light surface wear. There are a handful of very tiny areas where the finish has worn or flaked off. Please refer to the 4 photographs. Shipping / packaging will be $12 - $20, based upon the zip code of the buyer.
