Description:
Item/Description: Vintage 1971 “Origins of World War II (WWII) Board Game of International Power-Politics” Historical-Simulation International Diplomacy Bookcase Game
***A 2 to 5 Player Game: recreating the diplomatic conflict of the 1930s. Participants represent the five major nations (U.S.A./United States of America, Great Britain, France, Russia and Germany); player most expert at negotiations and diplomacy is usually the winner...
***5 “What if?” Scenarios: Historical Game; Aggressive French Policy Game; Aggressive French-British Policy Game; British-U.S. Alliance Game; Anti-Bolshevik Crusade Game
***It is an authentic re-creation of the times. Each player is faced with the same decisions and armed with the same diplomatic muscle as his real-life counterpart
***The Playing Board (a Political Mapboard of Europe 1939) re-creates the political battleground as it existed in 1939. Caricatures also shown (but not printed on the actual Playing Board) identify the leading political figures of the 1930s...the one’s who waged the diplomatic war between 1935 and 1939. Their decisions decided whether or not there would be a shooting war, and who would be shooting who, when it came to more than a war of words. Because Germany won this diplomatic war, the Second World War was fought. Because of this, 40 million people died
***Care to try YOUR hand at diplomacy? Could YOU implement the political strategy necessary to win a war of words? Could YOU have prevented World War II? Here is the chance to find out...
