Description: Here is a Villeroy & Boch Dresden Mettlach Pitcher. It is an astonishing PURE WHITE porcelain pitcher with exceptionally high relief decorations. It is of a father and son playing cards along with a very interesting face of the north wind as the spout. It is marked Villeroy & Boch Dresden with impressed letters "LX". L is the date letter for 1888. The condition is incredibly excellent with only a little bit of pitting on the inside bottom from age along with a slight flake of glaze off the outer rim of the spout. It measures 10 5/8" high with a 5 ½” base diameter.
