Description: We are pleased to offer this Early Victorian Circa 1870's Slant Front Desk in Dark Oak. It has all the original brass hardware, three drawers and one small lower cabinet. There are nice floral carvings on the top drawer and on the Slant Front door. The drawers do open and close smoothly. There is an old slide lock which seams to have been added a very long time ago to keep the Slant Front door closed. On the inside there are 16 various size compartments and one small drawer. All drawers are dovetailed. The writing area has a leather surface but is worn with some rips to it and should be replaced. It is usable as is but we can replace it for you for an additional $175.00 if you wish. The desk overall is very solid and in very good condition with no movement whatsoever. Would make a great addition to any home & a quality investment as well.....
