Description:
What a cute little mirror. Here is what I believe is a small shaving or vanity mirror. Someone told me that this reminded them of a William and Mary style mirror. It has some of the elements of that style, but I don't think it's quite that fancy. This mirror is constructed of wood. It has a round base supported by three small 'ball' feet. There is a vertical support with a cross bar. Then two vertical arms that support the round mirror. The whole mirror measures 10-3/4" high and 7-1/2" at it's widest point. All the 'arms' are turned. The mirror frame measures 5-3/4' around, and the old glass mirror is 4" around. The mirror is held in place with a piece of bamboo. The mirror is inserted in to the frame from the front, the back is solid wood. There is a plug of some kind in the back but I don't know what this was for. The mirror is in very good condition but one of the vertical arms is loose. Take a look at the photo's below and see how cute this mirror is. If you collect antique mirrors or vanity items, this mirror will make a terrific addition to your home.
