Description: Tiled and embossed "SUMMER" on the right edge, this tile is covered in a soft mauve glaze with a portrait of a young maiden in profile. The condition is very good, with a small abrasion on her hair near the nape of her neck. The back is unmarked, but most like by the American Encaustic Tile Company of Zanesville, Ohio.
