Description:
The leather covering this album appears to be pig skin. It was meant to hold Cabinet Cards & Cartes de Visit (CDVs). Note the Oriental shaped Openings & End Papers. Either Indo Anglo, Moorish or Persian influenced. It appears never to have been used, it still has all the dividing papers in the openings. There is some foxing throughout, most apparant on these papers. 3 of the openings have clean tears. No paper is missing. There is a discoloration to the upper right of the front cover. The album holds 28 CCs & 8 CDVs. The gilded edges are as new. The brass clasp is extendable and in fine working order. Overall a clean & attractive 125 year old photo album. 10.75"h x 6.75"w x 2"d. Please click on the photos for a better look. Insured & tracked shipping to all points in North America will be as stated above approx. Much more to overseas. Canadians will pay applicable taxes. Thank you for visiting & please check out the other fine Albums I'm offering.
