Description: This ornate, deep Victorian frame is one of a pair. The walnut looking surface is accented with ebonized trim, inlay and gold gilding. There is faux burled walnut graining in the corners. The oval opening measures 28" tall by 23" wide and is framed in an intricate gold leaf moulding. The gesso and gilding is original and in excellent condition. There is some minor ebonizing loss, but nothing significant. This frame would originally have held a portrait painting. How amazing to find a matched pair in such good condition. We are selling the frames separately.
