Description: This Victorian style, mahogany slant front desk has one large lower drawer, two small upper drawers and slender, Queen Anne style legs. The desk was manufactured about 1915 and has applied carvings on the slant front and the bottom drawer front. The style is a mixture of Victorian and Empire Revisited periods. Opening the slant front reveals stylish cubby holes, two storage drawers and a large writing surface in ribbon stripe mahogany. All the hardware is solid brass and origianl to the desk. This piece has been refinished by Staebel's Antiques professional craftsman to give many more decades of reliable service in your home or office.
