Description: We offer a wonderful London full hunter 18kt gold pocket watch with London assay marks for 1855-56. Surprisingly it does not possess the necessary duty mark of Queen Victoria's head. The maker of the case resembles CPM. One winds the mechanism with a key. The mechanism swings out of the front. The watch works and keeps good time. Although the mechanism is numbered I cannot see the signature of the maker however it can be ascertained that this was one of the leading watchmakers of London. The watch measures 1.75 inches across (roughly 4.2 cm) and weighs roughly 4 ounces. The condition is very good with minor wear to the case.
