Description: This exquisite walnut Victorian frame has a large tintype photo of a young girl in a light blue dress. Her clothing and background is embellished with hand painting. Tintypes this size and subject are not common. The expression on her face is precious. The original ornate oval mat has gold gilt highlighting. There is some minor staining on the mat and minor repairs to the gilt. The frame has a wide gold leaf liner in excellent condition. The frame has burled gesso decoration with ebonized trim for accent. The original finish is in excellent condition.
