Description: A superb English inkstand dating to around 1890 / 1900, late Victorian in period. The base is heavy solid cast brass beautifully shaped and cast so that there is channel on all sides, acting as a pen rest or pen tray. There are two pins in the centre which sit in the vertical cut to the glass on the inkwell, keeping it firmly in place. The inkwell is totally without damage and beautifully cut with a handsome hinged lid. Excellent condition measuring 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 5" tall with the cut crystal inkwell measuring 2" x 2" x 3 1/4" tall. Worldwide insured airmail included.
