Description: Old 19th century book - small format, measures 14 cm by 12 cm (5.1/2 inches by 4.3/4 inches). Embossed cover : Royal Album of Auckland and North Island Views”. Inside are 12 pictures including two double spreads of Auckland from Mt Eden (totally unrecognisable with a massive Rangitoto in the background), and Government House, Auckland. Four more views of Auckland, then four of Rotorua, the Pink and White Terraces, and various Thermal pools, followed by White Island burning crater, Napier, scene of Wairau Massacre, scene of Mt Egmont. Then one of Wanganui bridge, and half a panorama of Wellington. There is a page missing, containing the other half of Wellington and something else. Quite fascinating - condition is well used, with tape on the rear scenes, but the gloss monochromes are actually very good.
