Description: Gorgeous Renaissance Revival walnut Victorian easel with portfolio base. The top crest is open carved with a metal fox head in the middle. The base features a portfolio box with an inlaid circle of musical instruments set into a burled panel. There is an adjustable holder for a painting or print and a supporting post in the back that adjusts the slant. This piece has exceptional original gilt, black and red (unusual) high lights of the incised decoration. A most impressive easel!
