Description: Superb collectible portrait miniature of Raj Indian man in full dress attire and then mounted in hand crafted 22K gold Cannetille frame. This was created at the time when England ruled India and the English style of portrait painting prevailed. The fantastic gold work, Cannetille,(twisted gold wire) was perfected in India and was never to be surpassed. Maintains it's original "C" clasp and is in mint condition, this jewel comes directly from a private collection, hence the condition is so pristene. Truly a piece of history and a treasure to hold and behold.
