Vesta Kirby New York Interior Watercolor Art 20C
Description: Watercolor on paper, unframed. Signed in ink lower right "Vesta Kirby" and written lower right "Barbara Barondess Maclean A.I.D./ New York". Dimensions: Paper Size: 18 x 26in. (Tube O) Condition: Slight darkening to paper and some scattered fox marks. Pencil marks in margins (framing notes) and many small tears along edges, especially along upper edge. There is a 1/4in. tear to paper in image along right edge center. 1in. tear lower right, a 7/8in. tear along right edge 4 1/4in. from bottom, a 1 1/16in. tear on right edge 3 3/4in. from upper edge. Paper tape residue along left and right edges. Artist's Biography:
Vesta Kirby- American painter and consultant for color and materials. She has taught at the San Francisco Art Institute Extension and the Academy of Art College, and has developed design and color concepts for corporate interior projects with architectural firms in San Francisco, New York, Paris, Berlin, and Tokyo. Her paintings include acrylics, watercolor, oils, and mixed media.
