Description:
Here is a fabulous Vintage early 1900's Velvet Tobacco Advertising sign which is a lithograph on tin. Great subject with a Father and son relaxing and smoking their pipes full of Velvet Tobacco while his Grandson plays with the family dog. I really love the caption on this sign which reads - A man that loves kiddies an' dogs an' good tobacco may not be a saint but - I'll take a chance on him, signed by Velvet Joe. This sign is completely original. It is in a very simple light color wood frame and the surface has many light scratches - but still a really great advertising piece. Measuring: tin only 28" x 22 ½" and overall in frame 29 ¼" x 23 ¼".
