Description: Hopi woman grinding Corn, the famous decorative piece by Van Briggle. White clay glazed turquoise blue.

She kneels at the grindstone, head bent, her long braids falling against her equally long arms. Ears of corn rest beside her.

UNMARKED. "Van Briggle" "Colo Springs" nor the double A monogram appear. There is only the incised number 2751 and two glaze hash marks (as shown).

Circa 1940s to 1960s

Measures 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 x 6-1/4 inches tall.

Very good condition. No chips, cracks, dings or repairs. There are some black scratches on the front and back.
