YOU CHOOSE THE STAIN COLOR!!! for this custom-built piece of furniture. our products are BUILT/SIGNED/& DATED by our craftsman on a workbench,(with daily progress photos so you can watch your piece being built),not by robots on a assembly line in a foreign country!!!. we use only traditional upholstery/finishing methods and materials!!! if you are looking for furniture that will last a lifetime,then read on!!!. DO NOT BE FOOLED by other companies that claim to do custom furniture because they give you 3 fabric choices upholstered on the same old plywood frame!!! you will NOT find better built furniture than you do here!!!. all of our products start with a solid hardwood 1 inch thick maple frame. it is double dowelled and glued with solid hardwood corner blocks. we DO NOT use plywood(or engineered lumber as the manufacturers call it) particle board or mdf. the exposed wood is stained to the color of your choice and depending on the wood and sheen desired, between 6-12 coats of varnish are hand rubbed and sanded between each coat giving you a finish that will last a lifetime. all of our pieces have double 8-way hand-tied coil springs in seat ( and back if required ). the body consist of real burlap,synthetic horse hair padding (it is the same texture & consistency of real horse hair,but sterile & hypo-allergenic), cotton batting and a muslin base fabric. if you ever wondered how antique upholstered furniture held up so long, this is the reason! the fabric of your choice is then meticulously tailored and pattern matched to fit your piece. the outside arms and backs are covered in real burlap and padded with cotton batting and a muslin base fabric. we use inner-spring seat cushions wrapped in cotton batting and covered in a muslin base fabric. the back cushions are down & feather cushions wrapped in a hypo-allergenic down proof ticking.TO SELECT ONE OF OUR 100'S OF DESIGNER FABRICS,TRIMS,AND STAIN COLORS CLICK ON VIEW DEALERS OTHER ITEMS (KEYWORD:TEXTILES) on left of this page.
